Transhuman or trans-human is a concept promoted by Transhuminists that encourages research in artificial augments, implants and interfaces to enhance one’s life. Pacemakers, artificial limbs, and life support are common artificial devices that have paved the way for advanced bioengineering research. In science-fiction, transhumans are often depicted as cyborgs or genetically-enhanced humans. However, with superior improvements in machine learning and techniques such as CRISPR, science fiction is becoming science reality. Transhumanists seek the ability to link the human brain to “The Cloud”.
