Amazon.com, Inc., is an American electronic commerce and cloud computing company based in Seattle, Washington that was founded by Jeff Bezos on July 5, 1994. The tech giant is the largest Internet retailer in the world as measured by revenue and market capitalization, and second largest after Alibaba Group in terms of total sales.[1]

Amazon secured a 600 million dollar contract with the CIA. With Jeff Bezos being the owner of The Washington Post, and Amazon's chief executive and biggest shareholder, it poses a potential conflict. Kate Martin, director of the Center for National Security Studies, said, "It's a serious potential conflict of interest for a major newspaper like The Washington Post to have a contractual relationship with the government and the most secret part of the government."[2]
